Hi guys!!! Here we are again with the second blog of the week and this
time we are so excited because it’s time to talk about something we all love
and live, and yes as you can guess that’s Conor Dwyer, Ryan Lochte and swimming.
This blog it’s a little bit different of what you are used to read here,
but don’t worry because we are sure you all lovers of swimming and of course
gorgeous swimmers are going to enjoy it. The topic as you could read in the
title is Conor Dwyer and Ryan Lochte Road to Phillips 66 National Championships.
We all together has been following closely Conor and Ryan throughout all
the swimming meets that’s has taken part since the beginning of the year, we
have felt the emotion of all their races, we’ve cry (at least us), scream and
jump on every victory and defeat in this half year, but now the time has come
and things are getting serious and our favorite swimmers will be taking the
pool next Tuesday but this time is literally as Ryan would say GO BIG OR GO
HOME!!! Yes, next week they are going to get in the pool trying to get their
place in the national team to represent their country in Barcelona 2013 15th
FINA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Down below we show you two tables resuming their performances on every
Grand Prix.
Conor Dwyer
First let’s begin with our dear Conor Dwyer and well there’s so many
things we could say about his swimming but as you can see he has had so many ups
and downs from Austin to Santa Clara and clearly he has improved amazingly.
After a great performance in the Olympic Games last year we knew Conor was a
rising star in swimming. Maybe until Charlotte Grand Prix Conor hadn’t had his
best season in the pool but now after seeing his performance in Santa Clara
clearly everyone needs to be aware of him specially because there’s has been
some changes on Conor training and now he’s in Baltimore training with Bob
Bowman. As we know 400m free and 400m IM are Conor’s strongest stokes but after
beating Nathan Adrian in Santa Clara in 100m free preliminaries, obviously
Conor has big surprises to show all of us.
We are sure he’s going to do an amazing job next week in Nationals and
definitely we think we will see him competing in Barcelona. Officially Conor us
scheduled to swim in 5 events (100m free, 200m free, 400m IM, 400m free and
200m IM) so we are already trying to prepare ourselves mentally to wake up at
2am to see him race and bring you all the best of Barcelona 2013.
Ryan Lochte
And now it’s time to talk about Ryan Lochte and we think we don’t even
need to mention that he is one of the best swimmers in the entire world and one
of the best swimmers in history, we know maybe he has had some distractions and
his training hasn’t been the best but considering all this, he has done a great
job every time he is in the pool, and well, we all saw him in Santa Clara
literally as the best swimmer in USA winning the Grand Prix series and come on!
He is Ryan Lochte!!!!, maybe his times and his performance until Charlotte were
a little bit bad but clearly he has improved his swimming so much, we know some
people thought he was not a great competitor anymore but he proved to all those
people that they were wrong, we always knew there was more to see about Ryan
and his swimming and next week in nationals he’s going to do an outstanding job
and YES! we dare to say we will see him in Barcelona racing against the best
swimmers of the world and why not beating them.
We all know Ryan is one of the most versatile swimmers in the entire
World I mean, he can race from 100m and 200m back to 400 IM, going to 100 fly
and he is officially scheduled to swim in 11 events (100m free, 200m free, 200m
Back, 50m fly, 400m IM, 100m Fly, 50m Back, 50m Breast, 100m Breast, 100m Back
and 200m IM) in Nationals next week so we think he has great chances to make
into the National Swim Team. He’s enrollment in so many races so maybe he will
scratch some of them but it doesn’t matter what happen we will be supporting
him on every step he takes.
So this is all for this blog, now you have a general idea of how is the
stage for our or favorite swimmers road to nationals, hope you like it and
enjoy it and see you next time.
BTW, HAPPY SUMMER EVERYONE!!! :) :) :)
