Orlando Grand Prix Finals Day 1
The Gran Prix has arrived to “The swimming state” and we couldn’t ask for more after amazing races at finals with great Olympians such as Missy Franklin, the big return of Dana Vollmer and of course our favorite swimmers Conor Dwyer and Ryan Lochte.
We should say it was a cardiac night but so exciting at the same time and here we have all you need to know about it.
The first event of the night was the Women 200 LC Meter Freestyle, and just to have a great beginning at Arena Grand Prix in Orlando, we could see Missy Franklin leading the competition taking the first winning of the night with a time of 1:58.01 follow by Samantha Cheverton (2:00.10) who placed as second and Becca Mann (2:00.28) who took the third place.

One of the most anticipated events of the night, or at least to us, was Men 200 LC Meter Freestyle because our favorite swimmers were competing in it. It was an amazing race full of emotions and nervousness but finally our dear Conor Dwyer ended second as well as Robert Hurley both with a time of 1:49.81, just behind the first place Yannick Lebherz (1:49.48). Definitely Conor did such an amazing job, congratulations to him and of course to the always handsome Ryan Lochte who ended fifth with a time of 1:50.78. Both proved why they are one of the best swimmers of the world, obviously to us they are the BEST!!

This time the winner was Dana Vollmer who placed as first with a time of 58.91, follow by Jeanette Otteson (59.36) and Audrey Lacroix (59.71), there s no need to say that dana is such a great swimmer and she proved it beating one of the favorite ones and that is Missy Franklin who placed as 4th with a time of 1:01.20. Congratulations girls!!!!!

Conor Dwyer also competed in Men 400 LC Meter IM and he did an amazing job in the pool, he had the opportunity to compete against Tyler Clary who was the favorite to win and he proved it dominating the race, but at the end our dear Conor Dwyer was surprisingly about to reach him. It was a cardiac race where Conor ended third with a time of 4:25.30, just behind Tyler Clary (4:24.56) and Esteban Enderica (4:25.12).
