Mesa Grand Prix Preliminaries Day 3

Hi everyone!!!! We are getting to the end of this Grand Prix in Mesa Arizona and in this last morning session we were so glad to see Ryan Lochte and Conor Dwyer taking the pool so here we have the best of them and more.

But before to start talking about them lets begin with the Women 100 LC Meter Breaststroke where we could see Jessica Hardy swimming and qualifying as second with a time of 1:08.08, the first place was for Breeja Larson with a time of 1:08.01 and the third place was for Alia Atkinson (1:08.42).

The next event we will be talking about is the Women 100 LC Meter Backstroke and as you might guess Missy Franklin was part of the competition qualifying in third place with a time of 1:01.17 and of course we will see her tonight as finals. First and second place were for Elizabeth Pelton (1:00.72) and Rachel Bootsma (1:00.89).

The next event was Men 100 LC Backstroke and we could see our dear Ryan Lochte racing next to another Olympian, Matt Grevers, both made an excellent job. Matt was second with a time of 55.65 and we will see him on finals tonight. Ryan was sixth with a time of 55.76 and he is on finals too.
But the best part of this race was how Ryan’s little fans screamed “Go Mr. Lochte”. It was such a special moment because we all know Ryan loves kids. He must feel so proud of his job and how he is a role model for kids.

One of the last events of this morning was the Women 200 LC Meter IM and also here Missy Franklin will be on finals tonight qualifying in 5th place with a time of 2:17.56.

The last event of this morning session was Men 200 LC Meter IM and we could see our two favorites racing for the last time in prelims.
The first one to take the pool was Conor Dwyer who did such an amazing job this morning winning his heat with a time of 2:06.95 and he will be on finals tonight. Great Job Conor!

And then was Ryan Lochte who took the pool for the second time this morning and he surprised us winning his heat and being top qualifier with a time of 2:03.71. We are so proud of his job this morning and there’s no doubt he’s a great swimmer.

We are so excited to see the last session of Mesa Grand Prix tonight. We are sure Conor and Ryan will do a great job and they will surprise us.

So don’t miss finals set for tonight at 7 CT at Skyline Aquatic Center.
Jeah!
