Mesa Grand Prix Finals Day 1

Here we are again guys bringing you the best of our favorite swimmers competing tonight at Mesa Grand Prix. Just like this morning we will be telling you everything you need to know about Conor Dwyer, Ryan Lochte and more.

This morning Mesa Grand Prix gave us some surprises and finals were not the exception. Of course it was a night full of speedos and great races so take a look.

The first event of the night was the Women 100 LC Meter Freestyle and as we told you this morning this was one of the events full of Olympians, but this time Missy Franklin did what she knows best taking the first place of the competition with a time of 54.27, the second place was for Katinka Hosszu (54.60) and the third place was for Natalie Coughlin with a time of 54.61. Great job girls!!!!

The second and the most awaited event of the night to us was Men 100 LC Meter Freestyle consolation final because our two favorite swimmers would be competing in that event. And they did an amazing job, Conor Dwyer got a well deserved second place with a time of 51.02 and Ryan Lochte won with a time of 50.98. We are so proud of them because, as we mentioned in an earlier blog, this event is not their strength but they did their best and gave us an amazing race. And no matter what, they will always be our favorite swimmers.

After the consolation final we could see another amazing and cardiac race (A final) where Nathan Adrian got the fist place (48.42) followed by Ricky Berens (49.06). Anthony Ervin finished fifth (50.29) and Matt Grevers sixth (50.85).
Conor Dwyer took the pool again but now on Men 400 LC Meter Freestyle and he did a terrific job finishing as fifth with a time of 3:59.23 improving his morning time (4:00.47) and there’s no doubt he is a great swimmer and that’s why we admire him. And also he surprised us with that colorful tiny speedo, he just looked good.

Can't stop laughing! that girl was undressing Conor haha

In the Women 100 LC Meter Butterfly the first place was for Claire Donahue with a time of 59.58, followed by Katinka Hosszu (59.80) and the third place was for Dana Vollmer who finished the race in a time of 59.99. Congratulations Dana!!

We were just recovering from Conor’s great race and great speedo and then Ryan Lochte appeared to take the pool again on Men 100 LC Meter Butterfly Consolation Final, winning it with a time of 54.48. It’s always great to see him race because he’s a great swimmer.

And this is how the first day of the Mesa Grand Prix came to the end, clearly an amazing night full of great swimmers. We really enjoyed this day next to Conor and Ryan who always make us smile.
We are so excited to see Mesa Grand Prix tomorrow and of course we'll be supporting our favorites Conor and Ryan. So don’t miss our coverage tomorrow morning at 11 CT.
